Global Citizenship
The uniqueness of each child is celebrated on an on-going
basis at The New Dawn Center. Children are likewise encouraged to appreciate
the differences in other people due to handicaps, cultural practices,
religious beliefs, gender and race. Multicultural and anti-bias issues are
addressed in an effort to promote mutual respect, understanding and harmony
among all peoples. Consideration of others is taught through discussion and
practice of social grace, kindness, service and support.
Children's world view is further developed by exploring the
earth sciences: geology, geography, botany, zoology, etc. Learning about the
lives of outstanding men and women through the ages makes history come alive
and provides children with superior role models.
