The New Dawn Vision

Internationally, America's literacy ranking has plummeted from #1 in 1969 to #49 in 1989. At no time in this country's history has its educational system faced such a major crisis. Today, educators from both the public and private sector are seeking alternative teaching methods to get America's educational system back on track. And they're focusing on early childhood programs that stimulate all the senses, where children work at their own pace, and where their budding self-esteem is carefully nurtured by caring teachers. The New Dawn Center provides just such a learning environment... and more. As important as the school is, however, it is only one part of a much broader vision.

This vision includes the following:

Acquire a site to create additional educational programs for all ages.

Use the current program as a working model for public and private school educators worldwide to observe and implement innovative learning methods. Emphasis will be on how to promote self-esteem, creative problem-solving, global awareness, and academic and interpersonal skills - all major factors in improving the literacy rate and overall productivity of America.

Increase public awareness regarding the value of education for people of all ages and promote cooperative efforts among parents, students, business, government and schools - both public and private.
